WOMEN'S CLASS

The Women’s Class studies are Bible focused. They have been studying the New Testament for over two years, starting with the study of Paul, and all of his Letters to the Churches. Recently they have studied the Gospels, including Matthew, Mark, Luke, and  John. They are currently studying Revelation. Lively discussions take place as the group seeks to understand how the Bible speaks to us for today.

BIBLE CLASS

For the last 25 years, the Bible Class at SVPC has been dedicated to the study and discussion of the Bible. This class is ideal for people who want to study the Bible in a small class setting. The class is composed of some of Spring Valley’s longest serving members and longest serving Sunday school teachers. Steve Simmons and Steve Bower have been team teaching the class for more than 20 years. The Bible Class curriculum is supported by the Standard Lesson Quarterly Series studied by Sunday school classes of various denominations nationwide for more than 60 years. The annual curriculum is divided into four quarters with each quarter containing a series of 13 lessons covering scripture in either the Old or New Testaments. Beginning in September, the Fall 2018 series begins with a study of Genesis, “God’s World and God’s People,” that recounts the origins of God’s people and His covenant relationship with them. We look forward to you joining us.
